Qais Al-Sindy is an Iraqi contemporary artist and painter born in Baghdad in 1967. He studied engineering before pursuing fine arts, earning his BA and MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts at Baghdad University. Now based in California, his multidisciplinary practice includes painting, installation, video, and conceptual art. His work explores themes of memory, identity, exile, conflict, and the human experience, often reflecting on cultural heritage and the effects of displacement.
