Syrian Artist

Fouad Dahdouh is a Syrian contemporary artist and sculptor born in Damascus in 1959. He studied sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus and continued his studies in France and Italy, earning advanced degrees in art and art history. Originally recognized for his sculpture and public monuments, Dahdouh later focused on painting and mixed media, creating colorful compositions featuring stylized figures, expressive forms, and layered textures. His work explores themes of human nature, everyday life, and emotional expression, blending humor, symbolism, and a strong sense of color. He has participated in international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale.
